    A great book showing inspirational examples of gardens designed by Thomas Church You can easily see the design elements he s talking about via the photos sort of reminds me of A Pattern Language Wish it was in color, though Most of the stuff is totally 50 s, so is really appropriate to our house I m now plotting my deck and yard based on these ideas.
