    I picked this book up because recently I was put into a position where I need to be able to negotiate business deals for my company and I need a little help my whole approach to negotiation how to do this efficiently.As the book begins the author goes in to all the details to get prepared for your first business transaction What is needed and how to go about getting you facts together to get the best deal possible One of the key parts of this book that I really enjoyed is that part that covers how to deal with ongoing business deals with business partners It is one thing to negotiate a deal, but having the proper tools to set up and ongoing deal can make or break some businesses.The author takes his time to show all the techniques how to succeed at negotiations with or without any experience Some of the major topics covered are the fundamentals of negotiating such as anchoring, bracketing, and even goes into detail in showing some of the dirty tricks associated with negotiating This book is a wealth of knowledge and it gives you all the tools you need to become a better negotiator no matter how big a deal or how small Whether you need to brush up on your skills or just learning the basic of negotiating, then this book is for you.

    You may have known some of this information, let s face it most of this information However, despite the fact that many known a lot of stuff it is common to lose track of things and not be able to think clearly.James gives a very well written account of all strategies and tactics that you may need to be aware of during negotiation While reminding you to be prepared, think things through, to stay cool as a cucumber and keep the eyes on the prize.The nice thing about this book, is that if you master just some of the negotiating tactics mentioned in it you can apply them anywhere, from marriage and kids I really don t negotiate with the tiny terrorists often, but stranger things have happened to workplace, shopping and of course skills are absolutely necessary for small business owners.Great read, thumbs up.
