This is some advice on how to get an eyelash out of your eye Out by Australian Ben Sea or Ben Constantine or PlumpOyster is not really about getting an oyelash OUT it s about what happens when two people put an eyelash IN that is, they ingest a magic eyelash and then stuff happens, as you might imagine Have you ever been higher one of them asks the other, as they fly through the clouds, and I bet the answer is no So this trippy fantasy, weird, fun, even maybe a touch romantic, and then it gets darker, one of them gets involved in a knife fight, and things increasingly bizarre I call it sorrow because of that turn, but it is definitely fantasy, trippy, surreal, kind of interesting, with less story than art But the art has this golden ages with a twist of the knife feel to it.Here s some examples of what his art looks like

Eyelash Out is nuts When I finished it I wasn t really sure what to make of it The bizarreness has the flavor of a private dream world being explored Reading it feels almost voyeuristic And like a dream, or a scene taking place through a window across the street, I never quite connected all the dots of cause and effect Maybe it s just me I can never follow action movies, either The sheer busy ness reminds me of Ron Rege, Jr Both artists force you to slow down if you want to understand what s going on You can t scan these panels.I loved this mainly because I just had an immediate connection to this visual universe It put me in a special mood or state of mind I feel like it appealed to me on that same instinctive level that Ren and Stimpy did when I was little Gross, visceral, but somehow almost like pop music.
