I admit it, I m biased and have a definite conflict of interest regarding Fox and Lucien, Beyond the Gates of Hercules That being said, I like the way the story came out, and I can t always say that I think the story flows well and is a lot of fun and a fast read It s a classic, historical, adventure tale that will appeal to a lot of readers, and might even teach you a few things you didn t know before That was my goal I hope you all feel the same way if you decide to give it a read.

I loved the first book, A Fox in Paris, but this sequel is even better The adventures of Lucien and his trusty dog, Fox, take them out onto the high seas where they are confronted by pirates off the shores of Portugal and even danger after they pass through the Straights of Gibraltar Beyond the Gates of Hercules is indeed a timeless story for all ages and celebrates the great friendship of a boy and his dog and so very well written by Perry Vayo Five stars Highly recommended.

This is a great find for young readers that love classic adventure stories It s a sequel to the enchanting Fox in Paris, which author Perry Vayo had brought to life from a stack of notes his great great grandmother had left behind In Beyond the Gates of Hercules, Fox and Lucien find an ancient mysterious warehouse, which sparks their next journey An enjoyable read
