Valley Sams is back and better than ever The only reason why I didn t give this book a five star, is because I felt that the details in these past four books in the beginning we re a little bit too much But once the mystery murder started I could not put the book down In this book The Gang is back we have Louis the handsome detective who is dating Mackenzie And then we have Sabrina the chocolatier who is still dealing with some unresolved issues from book 3 Also we don t want to forget the pup that s Louis go for Mac so she would nit be alone in that big house of hers I don t want to give too much away but this was definitely a good book and I was surprised in the end at who the murderer was I can t wait to read book 5 but if you want a good mystery this is definitely something to read I was a little disappointed that there was not too much chocolate mentioned in this book but that is quite alright Also it made me rethink about moving to an area that was near the beach Especially during Hurricane Season LOL.

An entertaining series with fascinating characters and complex murder plots that will keep you turning the pages until the surprise ending Mac and Brie own a shop where Brie creates amazing tasting chocolate taste sensations After persuading Brie to enter in a locally sponsored chocolate contest she is horrified to see the judge die after eating the chocolate that Brie hands him Working to free Brie from jail, Mac finds herself meeting disgruntled lovers, vengeful former friends and others who disliked and hated the despised and spiteful judge This is a series that will keep you guessing while drooling over the chocolate descriptions.

Once again, there is a murder, wrapped up with chocolate and romance, and all together make for a great cozy read Brie becomes the suspect when the offensive judge at the chocolate festival is murdered Mac takes it upon herself again, pretty much by herself without the help of her boyfriend Louis, the local detective Things just seem to happen to Mac and the evidence pretty much just falls into her lap That is one of the great things in the book as well as the rist of the series, things just seem to happen and Mac always seems to put herself in danger She does have wonderful friends that either help or save her but she always figures out what really happened and why I love that Mac is really smart and independent The mouthwatering chocolate sure doesn t hurt either not to mention the series is set in a quaint beach side town The locals provide a wonderful cast of characters and the new ones always add a lot of detail to the story Everything is always well described and even if you haven t read previous books in the series, you could easily pick up with this book and follow along It s very well written and everything is always neatly tied up in the end but skillfully left wanting to read about Mac s next adventure and additions to the chocolate menu.

Fun, entertaining, cozy realnessLove, love, loved this book While following the cozy format of a light mystery, this book incorporates real life You have romance only half on page, so to speak , characters who drink to excess, some who drink recreationally, but responsibly, smokers, very smart people who make mistakes, quirky sidekicks, and goofy, yet adorably hunky cops It really does have everything you d want in a cozy All while staying G to PG rated, if that s a concern for you.It s a refreshing take on the genre that remains light, and , wellcozy, but isn t the overly sweet cozy so often seen The characters have some meat on them, with emotions that are there , but don t take over the plot They do things that you might do, act like you might Overall, a very good balance between characters and plot.I m looking forward to from this author.

The long awaited fourth book in the Chocolate Cafe series is here It was definitely worth the wait Brie is still suffering from the painful loss of her horrible boyfriend Her depression is oozing into every orifice of her life Mac convinces her to enter an international chocolatiers competition and things begin looking up That is until someone dies This series is very entertaining The character development is good and the plot moves along at a steady pace.

Sabrina is still mourning the loss of her boyfriend and not doing much besides making her chocolates Mac finds a letter in Sabrina s mail, inviting her to participate in the town s first Halloween chocolate competition where they have some big name judges on the panel This seems to be just what Sabrina needs to get herself out of her funk That is until one of the judges is murdered and she becomes the number one suspect Mac to the rescue
