I really enjoy how these separate standalone books are so tied together I have read each book and each series and always completed the book satisfied that the story had been told I never longed for any loose ends to be tied in a to be continued loop of endless sequels. With each release, I ve been delighted to see the stories continue from an entirely different perspective This book was no different I had encountered the hero and heroine in another book in the same scene and never tied the two together Bravo to the author I loved it.I won t discuss the content of the books because you can read it yourself This book captured my attention and held on tight Both leads were engaging and strong I love a book where the female lead takes no prisoners and works to achieve her goals This heroine was just such a person Although our hero and heroine were broken, they paved a course for their lives and succeeded That s what I like in a historical romance.

What a powerful book KJ Jackson dares to tackle a subject that so few do When Livia and Tieran meet and kiss in the first few pages, I thought that the book would be a journey of their relationship It was, only not in the way that I thought There was love, pain, revenge, deceit, mistrust, twists, turns, misunderstandings and This truly was an emotional journey for both the characters and myself I agree with another reviewer that while some of the scenes and situations were uncomfortable to read, they kept meet engaged and wanting to know how it would all end.As with all of Ms Jackson s books, I highly recommend this one.I did receive an ARC of the book The choice to read and review it was all mine.

Five stars My first reading of Ms Jackson and all I can say is Superb The emotion pull of when Tieran speaks of his war time had me with tears pouring down my face Liv is such a tough heroine Their love for one another is over the top Highly recommend

3.5Well written historical romance with some danger, revenge and passion Livid and Tieran have both survived some rough situations to have a HEA.

I m sorry, but I hated Liv, and her friend was obviously going to be a nutter, given her weird pushiness about the list I don t get why Reggard was so pussywhipped that he put up with her vendetta BS Just disappointing.

A very emotional book with one of the kidnapped young girls as the main character At what point is there too much vengeance At what point does vengeance make a person no better than the victim

Vengeance is not always best served cold I think I have read books by this author before and liked them This one was a little off kilter for me Too much of it hinged on past wrongs and vengeance, or how the past had changed the course of people s lives The latter isn t necessarily a bad thing, but it felt like the characters were going through a loop set on repeat especially Livia Sometimes when you re in the midst of a situation it isn t as clear what s really happening, but to me it was pretty easy to see that Viola was using Livia to do all of the dirty work for her It wasn t a huge surprise what ended up happening to her I thought Livia might have been a little clever, but she had completely fallen for Viola s schemings Innocent men may have very well been on that list we ll never know because Livia just took Viola s word for it She should have started to guess when the runner could find nothing out of the ordinary about Bisholm I just felt a bit let down by the story and the characters If Livia had learned so much compassion, etc from Lord Canton, I don t think she would have fallen in with Viola in the first place I just didn t find it completely convincing.

An emotional rollercoaster of a romance Emotionally charged, packed with passion, tension, suspence and torment A well crafted and written story that will entice, make you question humanity and, like all Jackson s romances, stay with you long after the last page is turned Jackson never fails to grab my interest at the first word and keeps me emotionally entangled until the end and Oath is no exception It has engaging characters with dark and tormented pasts, a spark infused passion and a soul deep heart wrenching love that pulls and tears at your heart strings making you smile, tingle and cry throughout Utterly fabulous A romance immersed in darkness and grit and drenched in torment, doubt and the seeking of redemption not through the characters set path of vengeance but in a greater level of connection, understanding and acceptance between the leads, Liv and Tieran I highly recommend this HEA read even if you have yet to read the other books in the series.

Bravo Absolutely AmazingI read a lot Finding the overall quality of writing Ms Jackson has produced in Oath , is rare I don t give 5 stars easily Proofreading was excellent Writing such moving and emotional material and not including one foul word is amazing today It really shows true talent This story that tells about kidnapping, whether it happens today or back in the 1800 s shows how wrong, how horrifying to the victim it is The pain that can lead to something good or to self destruction Clearly the path only the victim can choose Liv chose to take something horrible and make something positive where Viola ended in madness Ms Jackson took steamy intimacy scenes to a sensual level and captures the essence of what love is No cheating or cliffhanger and Liv and Tieran get their Happy Ever After Enjoy
